I’m the founder and Chief Storytelling Officer at WritersBlok. As a celebrity ghostwriter, I help high-profile leaders and doers turn their personal stories into powerful brand assets. Thanks to years of experience building brands and serving as a communications advisor across industries, authority figures trust me with their legacies. Leveraging these achievements, I founded a full-service ghostwriting agency composed of a team of content ninjas responsible for some of the most talked-about pop culture moments, books, and noteworthy speeches.
Featured in Hello7, Shondaland, ByBlacks, Essence, Black Enterprise, and with former leadership partnerships alongside WealthSimple, Google, LinkedIn, and many more, my ability to manage high stakes crises, and mastery of impossible deadlines are exactly the traits that today’s tastemakers find so remarkably appealing.
I started my career in the media in my early 20s with a number two pencil and a dream. I began producing news reports inside the pages of notable Canadian media outlets, and later moved on to reporting on the female leaders shaping the future at Forbes.com, as a Senior Contributor for the last eight years. What my friends and respected colleagues would say about me is that I am dedicated to amplifying Black voices and unsung heroes whose stories of triumph aren’t often seen in the top headlines.
I love helping others succeed and taking on new challenges. Recognized as a top performer, my 10 years of corporate experience and entrepreneurial expertise enable my ability to conduct high ethics and excellent problem-solving skills. I create exciting learning environments and invest in each project with a positive attitude and a fun approach. I lead a brilliant collective of all-women creatives who are the best in the business. We work with professionals who are ready to take immediate action; people who are eager to take an unconventional route to fulfill their goals.
Speaking of goals, I am the newest adjunct professor at George Brown College, where I teach Professional Communications. This career milestone is important to me because traditional textbooks simply aren’t able to keep up with ever-changing industries. By the time young adults graduate, the curriculum is already outdated. Which is why for years, colleges and universities who value real-world lessons request my presence to share my invaluable insights. Education is a powerful tool, but starting points will always differ for each student. So, instead of complaining or dwelling on the way I often felt about a system that failed me, I decided to actually do something about it.
Throughout my formative years, and well into adolescence, I struggled with my reading and comprehension skills. Given the spaces I occupy today, most people would be surprised to see my grade 9 through 12 transcripts filled with 50’s across the board. I later dropped out of college and decided to turn the world into my classroom. As an advocate for children’s literacy, every quarter, WritersBlok is committed to donating a percentage of our profits to a charity that we’ve selected for their immeasurable impact on our community.
For over a decade I’ve made myself available to young adults, as I truly believe mentorship is the greatest contribution I can make with my life.
Our clients are aligned with my values – passionate and mission-driven – and understand that there’s always work to be done. So, when they want to speak up and shake the room, I’m the one they call.
