Naomi Haile

Based in New York City, I’m a Senior Strategist in the Office of the CEO at WritersBlok. I help leaders uncover the heart of their stories and strategically position their brands in today’s noisy world. Through intentional collaboration, my work is grounded in conducting thorough industry research, asking insightful questions, and channeling your genius into a clear strategy you can use immediately. My career began in international tax compliance as a program manager for the Canadian federal government. There, I was part of a team that launched and maintained a global reporting program for multinational organizations with annual revenues upwards of 750 million euros. I later transitioned into consulting at boutique firms and corporate giants like Bloomberg L.P., where I advised executives on sustainable solutions to their most complex human capital challenges. In these roles, I sharpened my expertise in conducting corporate evaluations, facilitating empathy-driven interviews with leadership teams and employees, and applying design thinking to tackle organizational problems.

In 2021, I moved to New York City to pursue my Masters in Human Capital Management at Columbia University, further deepening my knowledge of talent development. Beyond strategy, I am no stranger to the world of storytelling. As the producer and host of the Power of Why podcast–now with over 30,000 downloads–I interview leaders who are building purposeful organizations, creating employment opportunities and crafting their legacy, for my predominately entrepreneurial audience. In 2022, I was featured on Business Insider for my interview with Sergio Ezama, Netflix’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

My mission is to work with purpose-driven leaders to build responsible organizations that operate with integrity, successfully retain top talent, and achieve sustainable growth.

I believe that doing new things keeps us in the realm of discovery. At the age of 17, I began solo traveling around the world (25 cities and counting) with a desire to connect with locals, cultures, and cuisines—a passion sparked during my studies in Bergen, Norway. When I’m not analyzing stock charts, you’ll find me taking acting classes, enjoying a Broadway show, or spending quality time at the park with my partner and our Doberman pinscher.
